Thank you Washtenaw County Bar Association for selecting ACA to receive your Liberty Bell Award!
The Liberty Bell Award was established by the American Bar Association to be awarded locally to a non-lawyer for outstanding service in one or more of these areas; promoting a better understanding of our Constitution and Bill of Rights, encouraging greater respect for law and the courts, stimulating a deeper sense of individual responsibility so that citizens recognize their duties as well as their rights, contributing to the effective functioning of our institutions of government, and fostering a better understanding and appreciation of the rule of law.
We are honored to have been nominated by several local attorneys who support ACA and our mission “To ensure that people with disabilities and their families have choices, opportunities, and the supports they need to be fully included in community life through advocacy and education.
We envision a community that fully supports equality, dignity, respect and inclusion for all people.”
